The pain…

when jonas told the giver what was going on ¿. the giver started realizing that jonas was truly the one to be the receiver of memories. the giver started telling jonas what was going on in the community and what did the community with the (real stuff) and jonas told him what happened to the apple that became from a different color red.. then when he was walking with fiona he saw her hair with a different color. so the giver realized that he was starting to see the color red. jonas didnt understand what was the giver telling him. beucase he have never heard that word., so the giver started exoplaining him that he could see them all , in the memories that he is going to give him know. so jonas lie down on the bed and the giver said that he is going to give the memoty of a rainbow... jonas started seing all the colors in his daily life but sometimes it dissapered becuase he didnt have all the memories of the colors.  the giver told him to be patient "but he wanted the colors every day because is not the same with only 1 color for everyone. jonas wanted to share this memory of colors with asher when he was touching ashers shoulder and in the community they cant touch each other except for family, so ahser was discused by jonas touching. then jonas tried telling lily that there are real animals in the world but she didnt listen. (good.. becuase it would be bad for lily to know a memory of animals). then jonas was in the annex room with the giver and he said what does he does in his daily life.  so he said that sometimes he walks in the parl or sometimes the elders needs his help because they  need his memories so they wont be making any mistakes. even sometimes they dont need me at all because they want everything just the same. they want sameness... then thely started talking about the ohter giver that was before and she failed and since the giver gave her memories she kept them but when she was realesed all the  the memories to the people in the community so that's one of the biggest purpose why there is a receiver of memory because in the community they had a lot of pain with the memories. some of the days that Jonas went to the annex room the giver was in pain and told Jonas to go home beucase he couldn't deal with him know. in the ceremony where they told Jonas that he was going to be the receiver of memory they told him that he was going to have pain... but Jonas thought that the pain of the sun burn wasn't much so the giver told him that now he is going to have the real pain... Jonas wanted to feel the pain (are you serious?!) the giver gave him the memory of the hill but it was different when he was going when he was going down he courved and he smashed his leg and he had a lot of pain. he tried to move but his leg was hurting  a lot and he couldnt move he started crying a looot suddenly he was on the annex room his leg wasnt hurting anymore but he still had the tears. then he asked the give what mwmory did he gave him and he said that he gave him the memory of a brokn leg.(OUCH!!!!) then he started realing that the sun burrn wasnt that pain full. then time and days passed and jonas started to incredibly pain. then the giver gave jonas the memory of hunger. jonas sked the giver if they have wisdom by pain... Gabe was growing more and more. and jonas said that it was extrange becuase a baby never grow up so fast. jonas father hoped that they wont be realizing Gabe. also Gabe slept really loudly, and his father couldnt sleep so jonas told him that he could take Gabe to his room and he said that he was going to be fine becuase he slept loudly to. but it was very late and Gabe still didnt went to sleep so jonas decided to give Gabe the memory of a sail boat and it work! now Gabe had the memory of a sail boat. but jonas couldnt understand one thing why did it work on Gabe but not on asher...?

 

 
"well..." Jonas had to stop and think it trough. "if everything’s the same, then there arent any choices! A blue tunic or a red one?”

Jonas was vey mad because he doesn’t have the liberty of chic decision. The community decides for him everything were is going to do on the future or what is going to be his wife… so he is very mad because he doesn’t decides what is going to happen next in his day LIFE!!! (OMG)

“but its all the same, always.”

Jonas is realizing what the community the elders are doing to the people because they are being controlled by someone else and they shouldn’t be controlled by anyone only your self and no one else. Also Jonas is very depressed because he cant share the memories with anyone and he wants to have a live with failure.

 

Like I said Jonas is realizing that his life wasn’t that good because he didn’t have much of the truth in his life because he has everything is arranged. So he is a little bit mad at the elders because they have been hiding the world that is outside. When I telling the world that is outside I’m saying that is the truth because they don’t even know what is a color!! They have sameness. With sameness you don’t have originality and with no originality you don’t have a life. Why im saying this because: when you are not original you are just the same person has other also with originality you don’t get identified. People recognized you by the originality that each person has. Like lady gaga she is original because she has the most estrange dresses in the world. One of her dresses is of meet real. It was one of the most original and even if you don’t believe it fun. It was fun to see a women with a meet dress. So in the community of Jonas they don’t have. So for me Jonas is very mad. but Jonas is also very nervous beucause he is stariing to heve the pain that is making him feel different also he wanted a pill so the pain will stop but in the rules said that he couldn't have any medication so he had the pain and for Jonas it was horrible because he got used to the medication. other is that gabe could rceive the memory so is gabe going to be the next giver...

 

 

The memories…

 

The ceremony of tweleve have all ready finished and jonas really of what just happened, of him being selected to be the receiver of memory. Then he asked asher if he wanted to go with to each ones home. A litle girl came and congratulated asher and then she saw jonas and congratulated but ina very strange way. The parents of the litle girl came and congratuled asher and jonas bur still in a very strange way and jonas didnt know why it was happening. For the community it was very rare for someone to be selected to be the receiver of memory so they didnt know how to react to jonas. Then the litle girl asked her parents what happened to the other person that has been selected to be the receiver but... She failed and it was sich shame that her name was never spoken again and they couldnt use on a new born child. (OMG) When jonas got home he needed to check on his folder becuase there it will be saying what privilege he is going to have what does he has to do inhis training etc. When he was reading it only had one paper (whaaaaat). When he was reading his chexklist he noticed that the last rule said that he may lie. And he was very confused becuase he never should be lying, and he started wondering if his frinds had this condition too. The next day, it was his 1st day of training and he was really nervous. When he was getting  to the building that was near to house of old. He say a lady behind a desk and she said: " welcome receiver" jonas was surprised that some one would call him like that. The lady said the man was waiting for him behind the door. Jonas say that the door was locked and there was never a locked door in the community. Jonas asked the lady you did his door was locked and she said the receiver alwasys has his door locked becuase he has a lot in his mind  so he needs privacy. Then the man oppened the door and said "welcome receiver" then jonas noticed that he had a lot of book and in the community there is only 3. (are you seriuos) 1.dictionary 2. Thick community volume 3.book of rules but the receiver had lots and lots of shelfs. Then they started taliking and the old man said that he has been the receiver for a logng time. So he is hoping that jonas will be the new receiver. Then the old man asked jonas if he knew what is snow (really) and he nodded .  Then the man told jonas to take of his tunic an then he putted his bare hands on jonas bare back . And in the checklist it said that he could ask questions and he will get answers so he asked the man what is he going to do to him and the old man said that his is going to give him the memory of snow. Then jonas on his head understud what is snow and the man said that he is going to give jonas every day more and more memories of the world. Then he knew what was sunshine. But then jonas remenbered that the lady said thar he is going to h7avce pain so h7e said that he was very brave so he could handell it so he was on the memorey7 and he had burns coming to him and he couldnt understand what was going on. So the man told him that it was sun burn. Then the old man said it was enough for the day. Then jonas told him what was his name, becuase he was the receiver of memory but... Jonas is know so what is his name. The man said calle me: the giver.

                                         RECEIVER OF MEMORY

1. Go immedialy t the end of school hours eacg to the Annex entrance behind the House of Old and [present

yourself to the attendent.

2. Go immediatly to your dwelling at the conclusion of Training Hours each day.

3. From this moment you are exempt from rules governing rudeness. You may ask ny questions of any citizen

and you will receive answers.

4.  do not discuss your training with any other member of the community, including parents and Elders.

5. From this moment you are prohibited from dream telling.

6. Except for illness or injury unreleated to your training, do not apply for any medication.

7. You are not permitted to apply for release.

8. You may lie

Each word that i read from that checklist it was every time more shocking but it was making a lot of sense every word that was written, becuase it made a lot of sense know that jonas is going to be the new receiver of memory, he has to be apart of the community beucase he cant share the thoughta and memories because he knows the thoughts and memories of the world and the community doesnt have  to know becuase it wouldnt be helpong them in their daily life because each day is the same. (ok....) and it wouldnt help for them to know about snow or sunshine it would be usefull in their daily life.

 

 

"why dont we have snow, and  sleds and hills?"
 When jonas asked that question i answered my self and jonas becuase they dont need . Like  disscused in class maybe they had snow and hills but snow is the climate so you dont know when and were is going to come so the community decided to get ride of snow. (For your information i dont know how they did it) or maymbe they didnt get ride of it becuase it never came to the community. It may be snow,sunshine or sunburn. Because they think and say that it will be a distraction in the commmunity because it wouldnt be the same and borring community.

In this 3 last chapters that i have read it has been very shocking everytime the chapter ends. When i finished chapter 11 and the old man said to jonas to call him "the giver" i was like: @#$%. But the days passed and a lot of things happened but lets not get involve in my personal life and get in this book that has been 1 of the best books i have ever read. Were was i.... Yes! When the days passed i started redacting why would the receiver (Jonas) would call the man the giver but then i realized that the giver is giving  the memories of the world to jonas. So it made a looot os sense to me when i got that answer. But then i saw that the book is named also the giver so that was extremly confusing becuase in every book that i have read the title is indicating maybe. What is going to be the book about. And since jonas is theh principal character and now he is being the receiver why is the title of the book the giver?? Well i think that i will discover it if i still be reading. Also a thing i have noticed is that everyone in the community has dark eyes and jonas gabe and the giver have lighter... Those this is saying something to use is this a clue?

 

The Giver…

In the last 3 chapters it has been shocking! It was Jonas moment, the day that he has been waiting for a long time. That day was the day of ceremony of twelve. In the community they had numbers has names, when your in birth they tell you by number to your parents so Jonas was number 19.they went on order,  Asher was 17 and Fiona (the  girl of the dream… that became stirrings) she was 18. Jonas was very nervous because he next. But something happened… they have skipped Jonas they went directly to 20. Jonas biggest fear have become true, he was really shocked and every time they told other person their assignment his hear was going of more and more.  He could even see his parents because they would be ashamed. So the ceremony ended and he didn’t understand why he wasn’t assigned what did he do wrong? So they were going to go to their parents and the women that was giving the assignment and remembering their childhood, and she said that Jonas haven’t been assigned and she told Jonas to come to the stage and she said that Jonas have been “selected” and Jonas was saying in his head selected in what? So she said that he has been selected to be the new receiver and the biggest elder. She said that he had all  qualities that he needs to be the receiver, intelligence ,integrity, courage and wisdom but he doesn’t have it yet because on the training. And there was other quality that he needed but she said that no one the community will understand it but the old receiver said that Jonas  already had it. Jonas was happy and freaking out! Happy because he is not been ashamed of not been assigned but he was freaking out because the receiver was always alone, a part of the community he was never going to see his family again. And the training to be receiver is going to be the harder training because is physical pain and mind pain. So he has to be strong because is going to be hard.

“Jonas has been selected” when the lady said that Jonas was very confused because he didn’t know what was happening. When I was reading the book and say this quote while I was reading I kept thinking what would Jonas has been selected I was having the same reaction because I couldn’t know if it was a bad or good thing.

“Jonas.” “The training required of you involves pain. Physical pain” “you have never experienced that. Yes you have scraped your knees in falls from your bicycle. Yes you crashed your finger in a door last year.” When she was saying this to be honest I was very nervous Jonas even if it was a book. I think that Jonas heard those words he must have felt really nervous because it wasn’t similar or is going to be similar. Is going to be one of the hardest thing a person of the community could do. This were one of the most interesting that might happened in the ceremony and in the book, it’s a big step. For everyone because no one have experienced so much pain and a boy of 12 years going to have experiencing this pain and he is going to experience it.

In conclusion Jonas is going to do a lot of things that will change his life for ever. Also in one part the lady said that there was other person few years ago that was selected to, and they thought that he was going to be the one… but he failed and h e already had its physical already have suffered and yet and wasn’t going to be the receiver. All of the elders where ashamed that, that person was the incorrect. So they told Jonas that they hope that he is not going the shame. But Jonas in the other hand didn’t want it because he didn’t want to be apart of the community or to be alone all the time. Yes it’s a great privilege to be selected to be the next receiver but he didn’t want to do it. He was feeling really nervous.in my prediction of what is going to happen is that Jonas will already be in the training and he will escape because he didn’t want, and he is going to safe Gabe because they were going to release him because he was different. ( for your information I haven’t seen the movie) 

The Giver… 

 Jonas was very nervous because December was approaching and it was going to be his ceremony of twelve. He had a perfect live with his father, mother, and sister lily.in that community were Jonas was living they were very strict with everything. Even when your  are going to have a baby, 1st is not your baby because you need to give an application and the elders will approve of you are ready to have a baby. The elders are people that see you everyday 24 hours. They approve everything. also the baby wasn’t yours they gave a baby and also the name. everything was perfect. one night when Jonas was with his family they had dinner and started to share their feelings with their family. Jonas was very nervous because he didn’t knew what the nurtures will choose for his assignment, also he was nervous for Asher his best friend but his parents calmed him and he was ok. also in the mornings they shared their feelings and Jonas started to have an sexual dream and that was very bad, because the community thought it like a disease so they had to take some pills so the starring will go. the stirrings were those feelings. 

 "but you mustn’t forget. ill remind you for the first weeks, but then you must do it on your own. If you forget, the Stirrings will come back. the dreams of stirrings will come back the dosage must be adjusted"that said Jonas mother that he will need to take the pills. the dream that Jonas had was with his friend Fiona and he wants some things that is not very

correct to think.

"but it wasn’t the same. there was a tub, in the dream. but only one. and the real bathing room has rows and rows of them. but the room in the dream was warm and damp. And I had taken off my tunic, but hadn’t put on the smock so my cheats was bare. i was perspiring, because it was so warm. And Fiona was there, the way she was yesterday. no. it was only me and Fiona alone in the room, standing beside the tub. she was laughing. but I wasn’t. if almost a little angry at her, in the dream, because she wasn’t taking me seriously. I think I was trying to convince her that she should get into the tub of water. I wanted her to take off her clothes and get into the water tub. I wanted to bathe her. I had the sponge in my hand. but she wouldn’t. she kept laughing and saying no."

  so that was the dream that Jonas had with Fiona and that was named "the wanting" also know in the community has the stirrings. so that is what have been happening in the book of the giver and Jonas is starring to have poverty and that wasn’t good but for me it doesn’t has sense because everyone should have their feelings in peace because that is life your body stars changing you start having feelings and that is ok. is like every morning you wake up have a shower get dresses have breakfast go to the bus go to school or work then you have extras and then do homework relax a little bit and then go to bed and everything starts over again so that live and that live feelings and changes. 

Governments 

A government should always be respectful with their citizens because they have power not economic or by leadership but they have community power and that is when all the citizens may do a strike. But still the government may have soldiers security because of his power but the citizens may defend their self's and do a lot of damage because that is community power is also to fight for your liberty and their rights to be a citizen with opinions and respect. And if a government won’t be giving that opportunities people may and will fight for their honor. So every government in the world should give their citizens what they deserve their honor. 

Another example of a government is in the Truman show and their government is Christof the creator of the show. And christof should be more fair and kind to the citizens (the actors) because they have the power to tell Truman what is really going on in that is perfect. It could be like Sylvia that said some of the truth to Truman. So if christof doesn't start to be more kind with everyone not only the actors also the other persons that are with the cameras. They can’t see Truman o tell Truman the truth but they can give him sings of what is going on. So Christof shouldn't be bad with anyone because they have the secret.

So in conclusion every government in the world should be fair with their citizens because they can’t be like that because is not they have power, secrets everything the government doesn't have all the power. Also the government may have power by economic but a community has more power than anything because of the love and strength. one example is on the book  mocking jay of hunger games, the president snow is the worst person that I have ever seen and the principal character Katniss have invoked persons of the other districts to fight because is not ok how he is treating the persons in all the districts. so people started to listen to her and they fighted  and not have won but they demonstrated that they can defend their selves.
